The latest updates coming in from national media reports are suggesting that the BJP has decided that Rekha Gupta will be the next chief minister of Delhi and unofficial communication to this effect will be made shortly. Rekha Gupta has been a loyalist for BJP over the years, and she appears to have won the trust of the party high command now.

Rekha Gupta is a first time MLA and she is the daughter of a common bank employee, and she has somehow made her way to the top as she has been promoted as the chief minister of the state by BJP.

Another point to be noted here is that Parvesh Verma who defeated former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi, Assembly constituency has been promoted as the deputy chief minister of Delhi.
