Telugu states are dealing with a flood situation due to heavy downpours. The concerned governments are busy with assessing the situation and working on bringing the situation under control. The rescue operations are underway to help the needy and take them to safety.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had appealed to the Union Government on the flood situation and requested help. He said that the Union government should release Rs 2,000 crore for the state as an immediate flood relief in the wake of the ongoing situation.

The Chief Minister chaired a crucial meeting with the Cabinet Ministers and the concerned officials on the situation to look into the issue. Revanth Reddy said that the government is putting in serious efforts to deal with the situation and slammed the opposition over its attack.

Revanth Reddy said that the heavy rains left a devastating impact on the state as the crops were affected including life loss and severe damages to various properties. Shedding light on this he said that the Prime Minister should personally visit the state to inspect the damage.

Talking about the severity of the floods the Chief Minister said that the Telangana floods should be declared as national calamity. Experts say that this could be the highest rainfall witnessed by the state in recent times. Even the IT hub faced the heat of the heavy rainfalls.
