The highly anticipated Khairatabad Ganesh Chaturthi festival kicked off with a grand inaugural puja led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Chief Minister and his wife participated in the first prayers at the Khairatabad Ganasadhu, where they were warmly welcomed by priests with traditional rituals.

Several prominent figures, including Telangana Congress Incharge Deepa Das Munshi, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and MLA Danam Nagender, attended the auspicious event, adding to the festive atmosphere. The celebrations began with a lively procession led by the Oggudolu and members of the Padmashali community, with women carrying offerings on their heads and handwoven scarves while praying for Lord Ganesha.

This year, the Maha Ganapati idol has been installed at an impressive height of 70 feet, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the event. Last year, the idol stood at 63 feet. The celebrations will continue for ten days, concluding with a grand immersion ceremony on the 17th of this month. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma is set to attend the puja ceremony at 3 PM, highlighting the significance of this year's festival.

CM Revanth Reddy made interesting comments after the Maha Ganapati Puja, wishing the people of the state on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi. He praised the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi for their exemplary efforts in organizing the festival, which has been held for the past 70 years and attracts national attention. The Chief Minister said that by performing pujas to Lord Ganesh with devotion, the state will move forward with happiness, peace, and dairy crops. He also disclosed that free electricity has been provided to Ganesh Mandapams, and special congratulations were extended to the organizers of Khairatabad Ganesh.
