Revanth Reddy Formally Assumes Chief Minister’s Office
Massive arrangements were made for the occasion and big crowds were present when the Cabinet Ministers took oath.
Almost after a decade, Telangana saw a powershift with the Congress coming to power by ousting Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) which won two consecutive terms. The Congress had formed the government with Revanth Reddy taking oath as the second Chief Minister of the divided state.
He took oath at the LB Stadium as the Chief Minister along with 11 Cabinet Ministers. Massive arrangements were made for the occasion and big crowds were present when the Cabinet Ministers took oath.
After taking oath as the Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy formally assumed the Chief Minister’s office. He reached the Secretariat in the capacity of the Chief Minister. As he reached the office he was given a formal welcome by the officials.
As per the protocol, Revanth Reddy went to the Secretariat in his convoy. Telangana Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, DGP, and others welcomed him as he visited the Secretariat as the Chief Minister for the first time.
Revanth Reddy was given the traditional welcome by the priests and he was presented with a shawl. The Revanth Reddy-led Cabinet is expected to come together for the first meeting. All eyes are on the Cabinet to see what decisions it will take.
Congress came to power with a lot of hopes and expectations and the promises the party made played a key role in this. Now we have to wait and see how effectively the government led by the new Chief Minister would fulfill them.
