Revanth Reddy On Lack Of Telugu Leaders In National Politics!
For a very long time, leaders from the Northern states have been dominating the national politics and this is why we see leaders as PMs from there.
Who would not want to play a key role in national politics if given a chance? But entering national politics and having prominence there is not everyone’s cup of tea. For a very long time, leaders from the Northern states have been dominating the national politics and this is why we see leaders as PMs from there.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the book launch of ‘Governorpet to Governor's House’ penned by P.S. Ram Mohan Rao who served as the Tamil Nadu Governor and MCRHRDI DGP in combined AP.
Addressing the gathering Revanth Reddy made some crucial comments. He shed light on the reduction of prominence of Telugu leaders in national politics. He cited the examples of great leaders on the occasion.
The firebrand leader said that earlier we had great personalities like former President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, and Telugu Desam founder N.T. Rama Rao, Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy and Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
Citing great personalities as examples, Revanth Reddy said that they played a key role in national politics and this is not the current situation. Having expressed concerns about this, Revanth Reddy said we cannot see Telugu leaders in national politics.
Saying that the current political situation would not benefit our leaders and language Revanth Reddy called for support and coordination between the Telugus for a benefit.
What Revanth Reddy said is correct. It's been a long time since we saw Telugu leaders in national politics. KCR planned for the same. However, he fell short of this and took a back step. Earlier Venkaiah Naidu served as the Vice-President. There are barely any Telugu leaders in the Union Cabinet except for a few names like Kishan Reddy.
