Unapologetic RGV Speaks Out After Anticipatory Bail
The High Court instructed the police not to arrest Ram Gopal Varma till Monday.
As we had reported earlier, controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has secured anticipatory bail in the case pertaining to social media posts on Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh, a year ago. The High Court instructed the police not to arrest Ram Gopal Varma till Monday.
Shortly after Varma secured the anticipatory bail at the high court, he called for a media meeting and spoke about a wide array of topics.
The principal focus of Varma today was obviously to reinstate that he has nothing to hide or be scared of as he looked extremely unapologetic like his usual self. He noted that social media is everywhere these days and it is impossible for a person to be contained.
“People have the right and freedom to post all kinds of stuff on social media. Going after the social media user and trying to arrest him by framing one case or another is against the social fabric. The American president, Donald Trump is also sharing memes and stuff. Does that mean he too can get arrested?” Varma stated.
Varma was unapologetically outward with his statement today as he didn’t express an iota of doubt about his earlier actions. He seemed focused on putting out his point that the freedom of expression applies for all and there can be no curbs on the same.
Varma further concluded that he would be taking legal action against the media houses and publications that reported that he was about to be arrested by AP police in the recent series of events.
It appears that Varma will continue to be in the public‘s eye and grab the attention with his set of statements against the main men of the NDA government - Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh.
