It is already known that the prevailing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has started to take shocking fists and turns on a daily basis with a lot of human loss that is being registered. Now something significant has happened last night as well.
It is being established in principal that a full aerial attack was launched by Russia against Ukraine last night, and this was confirmed by the Ukrainian Army as well.
Ukraine president Zelensky says Russia launched over 70 missiles nearly half of them ballistic and almost 500 strike drones including jet-powered Shaheds against Ukraine overnight, with the main blow directed at Kyiv.
It is being established in principal that at least 13 people were killed and more than 90 wounded. The number of casualties are reported on early basis and this could go significantly based on further establishment in the next few hours.
The damage was recorded at over 20 locations across the capital, mostly ordinary residential buildings, along with an ambulance station, a scientific institute, a hotel, and businesses. Strikes also hit Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Cherkasy regions.
Ukrainian air defenses intercepted a significant number of the incoming weapons, but not all. The defence was not adequate enough to stop the range of the Russia attack, which is the reason why there was significant loss of human life.
