From Auto Driver to Hero: How One Man Saved Saif Ali Khan's Life

In the early hours of a night, Bhajan Singh Rana, an auto driver, found himself in an unexpected situation when he transported a bloodied Saif Ali Khan to the hospital, not initially recognizing the famed actor. Rana detailed how, without any prior knowledge of his passenger's identity, he assisted the injured man, who was dressed in a kurta covered in blood, along with a young child and another young man, later identified as Saif's sons, Taimur and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Upon arriving at Lilavati Hospital, it was only then that Rana realized the severity of the situation and the identity of his passenger. Saif Ali Khan, amidst his injuries, made it known to the hospital staff who he was in order to hasten medical attention. "When we reached the hospital, he called out to the guard at the gate and told him: 'Please bring a stretcher. I am Saif Ali Khan,'" Rana recounted. Despite the grim circumstances, the auto driver was taken aback by the fact that his passenger was none other than the well-known actor. The journey to the hospital, which took about seven to eight minutes, ended with Rana refusing to accept any fare for the ride, a gesture of goodwill towards the actor in his time of need.
The entire ordeal was a surreal experience for Rana, who had started his day like any other, unaware that he would soon be part of a critical moment in someone's life. The injuries sustained by Saif Ali Khan were significant, with visible wounds to his neck and back, necessitating immediate medical attention. The fact that Saif was able to communicate and direct Rana to the desired hospital, despite his injuries, was a testament to his resilience. This incident not only highlights the unpredictability of life but also the kindness and quick thinking of ordinary individuals like Rana, who find themselves in extraordinary situations.
