Reports Say Sameer Kamath Died Of self-inflicted gunshot wound?

Adding more concerns among the Indian community, another Indian-origin student died in the US. An Indian-origin student who has American citizenship was found dead at a nature preserve. This incident marked the fifth death of Indian-American student this year. After the incident broke out the community is worried.

The unfortunate incident was reported earlier last week when Indian-origin doctoral student Sameer Kamath was found dead at the nature preserve. The student is just 23 years old.

Now it is said that the cause of the death is suspected to be a suicide as a wound was found on his head. Reports say that a self-inflicted gunshot wound was found in the preliminary investigation which gave birth to the possible suicide angle in the case.

It is said that a forensic autopsy was performed which says that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Though the reports say that the autopsy was performed, a toxicology report is awaited. Once the report is out we will get more information about the case and the cause of the death.

Kamat who hails from India is an Engineering graduate having obtained his mechanical engineering certificate from the University of Massachusetts. He also completed his master's and he is pursuing his doctorate studies. As per the schedule, he was supposed to finish his doctoral program in 2025.

The young lad who had a bright future ahead had an unfortunate ending as he was found dead. Now the autopsy report hinted at a possible suicide. More details in the case are awaited.
