With elections fast approaching, the opposition TDP is pulling all stops. It is unlocking all its secret strategies. The party has now decided to re-launch Nara Lokesh one more time. Nara Lokesh has just completed the Yuvagalam. The yatra, which fanned across the whole state, failed to enthuse the cadres and set a narrative for the party. Lokesh, despite all his efforts, could not emerge as a strong answer to the YSRCP.

But, now Lokesh is all set to launch another massive yatra. This time, the focus is on the North Andhra districts. The yatra will be titled Sankharavam and will begin from February 5 with a public meeting in Ichchapuram. He will cover Parvathipuram, Agency area, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram areas. TDP’s Yuvagalam did not cover these areas. It had to be curtailed due to Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest. Hence, Lokesh will cover these areas in this phase.

On February 6, Lokesh will cover Palakonda and on February7, he would cover Kurupam and Parvathipuram assembly constituencies. On February 9, he would cover Salur, Bobbili and Rajam. On February 9, he would cover Cheepurpalli, Etcherla and Nellimarla constituencies. On February 10, he will cover Vizianagaram, Gajapathinagaram and Srungavarapukota assembly constituencies.

During the course of the Sankharavam, Lokesh would interact with the party leaders to feel the pulse of the party organizational position. He would also interact with the ticket aspirants. The party believes that this will help in selecting the candidates. But the doubting Thomases question the efficacy of Lokesh in re-energising the party. Yet the party appears to have no option other than Lokesh.
