In a shocking development that is now being established, it is primarily heard that a horrifying bus accident that happened in Saudi Arabia has sadly killed 42 people. What makes this more relevant for Indian people is that many of these victims are from Hyderabad.

According to the latest confirmed reports, a bus carrying Indian Umrah pilgrims collided head-on with a diesel tanker near the Mufarrahat area on the highway between Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The crash happened around 1:30 AM IST, resulting in a fire that engulfed the bus. At least 42 pilgrims are feared dead and more casualties could be reported correspondingly.

It is sad to see such human loss and particularly so, considering that the majority of the victim are reportedly from Hyderabad, who had been travelling to Mecca for this pilgrimage.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed grief after a bus carrying Indian Umrah pilgrims met with an accident in Saudi Arabia. In a telephonic conversation with ANI, Owaisi said that he had contacted two Hyderabad-based travel agencies and shared the passengers' information with the Riyadh Embassy.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also expressed shock over the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia involving Indian pilgrims travelling from Mecca to Medina. A control room has been set up at the Secretariat to assist families of the victims.
