The seniors in the Telugu Desam Party are facing jolts as few of them could not get a place in the list of candidates. Even in the two lists announced by the party leadership, the seniors failed to get a chance. The seat-sharing trend already left a few aspirants angry.

Senior TDP leader Kothapalli Samuel Jawahar aka KS Jawahar served as the MLA and Cabinet Minister earlier. He won the 2014 polls and was inducted into the Cabinet. But he could not win the last elections.

Despite the legacy, KS Jawahar was not given a ticket. Muppidi Venkateswara Rao was announced as the candidate from the Kovvur seat. It is said that Venkateswara Rao got good marks in the surveys and he was picked.

KS Jawahar who pinned high hopes on the seat faced a jolt. He is not happy with this and expressed his dissatisfaction over Venkateswara Rao getting the ticket.

The former Minister said that Muppidi Venkateswara Rao will not win the elections as surveys were in his favour. He urged the party leadership to rethink about the seat and said that his next step would be as per the public opinion.

As KS Jawahar missed on a ticket it is said that he is looking at the other options. He might also join the YCP and he is getting in touch with the leaders. It would not be a wonder if he becomes a YCP leader.

KS Jawahar contested from Kovvur in 2014 and won. But he moved to Tiruvuru in the last elections and tried his luck there. But he could not win the elections as lost the elections. He was confident of seat this time.
