Virat Kohli’s era as the captain is very special. Though India could not lift any ICC trophy team India witnessed great heights in Test cricket. India’s record in Test wins overseas improved massively. It is no wonder that the then Head Coach Ravi Shastri said that it was the best Indian side in the recent past.

Of all the wins India recorded, India’s Tour of 2020-21 remains iconic as India won the Test series against all the odds. In one match India was all out for 36 and Virat Kohli had to leave the series mid-way for personal reasons. Ajinkya Rahane was made the captain for the rest of the series and India lifted the series trophy.

Recalling the series, Shardul Thakur walked down memory lane to remember the horrible treatment they received. The player said that the housekeeping services were not available for four to five days and there was no response.

Even to get the bedsheets changed they had to walk for five floors. As they were tired already playing the match it was a horrible treatment he said.

Shardul also blasted the then-skipper Tim Paine over his interview. He said that he watched the interview and Tim was lying. He went on to say that even the Governor of Queensland said they are not happy hosting us. The Indian player said that after the win the players did not want to meet the Australian side.

"I heard some interview from Tim Paine. That man was absolutely lying, he was just saving himself by making up things in the media," the player said, talking about Tim Paine’s interview.
