Hyderabad Welcomes Solar Cycling Track,1st In India!
The Pearl City welcomed the solar cycling track which is said to be the first in the country.
The capital city of Telangana Hyderabad has the name of the city of pearls given the fact that pearls here are quite famous. Of late, the city is giving tough competition to other cities in terms of facilities and infrastructure. Now Hyderabad city added another feather to its illustrious cap.
The Pearl City welcomed the solar cycling track which is said to be the first in the country. The track is equipped with thousands of solar panels which produce a good amount of power.
The solar track named Healthway was developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and was opened on Sunday. The solar cycle track has many facilities that make it special in many ways.
Talking about the track, it is 23 km long. The track is in two stretches, Kollur to Narsingi (14.5 km) & Nanakramguda to TSPA (8.5km). All the required facilities like parking places, eateries, and washrooms so that the cyclists won't face any issues.
The solar cycling track was opened by IT Minister KTR. On day one significant number of cyclists visited the track and experienced the facilities there. The cyclists wore helmets and safety gear while cycling on the tracks.
The track is safe for cyclists as special lanes were thrown open. They can not only have a safe experience of cycling but also get rid of traffic jams which are increasing rapidly in the city.
What makes the solar cycling track special is that this is only the second one in the world. South Korea has a track already and the one which was opened in Hyderabad is the second one. The tracks are being developed in other nations, but technically Hyderabad has the second track in the world.
