Indian society or relationships have been conventional for a very long time. Over the decades the same status has been intact. Convention in the sense, one partner for the rest of the life. The same values have been transferred from one generation to another.
However, the latest study found that people are showing interest in coming out of the image and are interested in changing partners. The study was conducted on married people and 60 percent of respondents said that they followed modern methods like changing partners.
The study carried out by Social networking service Gleeden found a sensational outcome and the interest among Indians on having multiple partners.
The survey was conducted on around 1,503 married people across the cities. It was found that 60 percent of respondents are interested in swinging and open relating. 46 percent of men are interested in having emotional bonding after marriage. 36 percent of women and 35 percent of men are interested in online flirting.
The survey takes us through the shift in the perspective of people towards marriages and relationships. No one would have predicted that Indian society would see such a contrasting shift in the thinking of individuals.
Lifestyle changes and influence of the Western culture can be cited as the reasons for this. This was not the case in the country a few decades back. But everything changed now as people are not shying away from swinging despite being in a committed relationship.
Not just the Tier 1 cities, Tier 2 and other cities are also seeing a shift in the thinking of people towards relationships and infidelity.
