What Happens To Sonam Wangchuk? Is He A Big Deal?

Revolutionary environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk created one of the biggest political discourse in recent decades with his indefinite hunger strike against the discrepancies in the education system.

Sonam is one of the principal reasons why the ongoing student protests in Delhi could reach the point where that it is currently. This happens to be one of the most consequential events in Indian politics and recent years, and there is a lot of discussion happening on the same.

The latest news is that Sonam Wangchuk has completed his indifferent hunger strike after 26 days as he was advised against continuing the protest by the medical authorities in view of his medical condition.

Finally, Sonam Wangchuk ended his fast after 26 days upon getting assurance from the government and members of parliament of all political parties that the issue of accountability in the failing examination system will be discussed on the floors of the Indian Parliament.

The government also gave assurance that families of suicide victims in the recent NEET examination paper leak will be given adequate compensation and that there will be no cases registered against the peacefully protesting students and youths.

But the real question is what would happen to Sonam Wangchuk from here on considering this stage of the protest that he had completed. Whether he would have any political aspirations and move accordingly, or if he would confined himself to the social responsibility is a big question.

What is for certain is that the cockroach janta party could be active in the upcoming electoral season as well, and we have to see if Sonam Manchu will actually make a debut here and run for the Parliament.
