Actress Sri Reddy has been granted anticipatory bail by the High Court in a case brought against her by Visakhapatnam police. This comes after she petitioned the court for relief in six cases accusing her of posting offensive content on social media directed at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and other notable figures. Under specific conditions, including mandatory weekly appearances before the investigating officer, the court has allowed her anticipatory bail. However, her plea for anticipatory bail in a case filed by Chittoor police was rejected on the grounds of inadmissibility.
In a separate incident, the court has postponed the hearing for a week in the Anakapalli case, where Sri Reddy is accused of using derogatory language, as argued by Assistant Public Prosecutor Sai Rohit. Additionally, authorities in Kurnool, Krishna, and Vizianagaram districts have been instructed by the High Court to serve notices to Sri Reddy, demanding her explanations for the accusations made against her.
