Historic: After 9 Months Tussle, Sunita Williams Returns To Earth

Indian origin, NASA astronaut, Sunita Williams is a very famous and popular name in the Indian community. She has been representing the United States when it comes to space expedition and recently went on a mission that had a major malfunction.

While Sunita Williams went on a space mission nine months ago, it was dealt with a major shock after the Boeing aerospace machinery malfunctioned, and she got standard in space along with her fellow as astronaut.

However, the latest news is that NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have safely returned to Earth after spending 286 days aboard at the International Space Station. Their mission, originally planned for a shorter duration, was extended due to delays with Boeing’s Starliner crew capsule, which was supposed to bring them back.

Instead, the astronauts returned via SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule, which successfully splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico near Tallahassee, Florida. Their arrival was met with an unexpected welcome from a pod of dolphins near the landing site.

On this matter, chief minister Chandrababu tweeted “Glad to see astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore return safely to Earth. Their journey back shows exemplary human determination and teamwork. I applaud everyone who made it possible and salute the astronauts for their strength and perseverance. Wishing them good health.”

Prime Minister Modi had also suggested Sunita Williams to come to India and tour the nation after her safe return.
