10 Days Before IPL, SRH Faces A Big Problem!

For the last three seasons, Sunrisers Hyderabad has been one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the IPL, and this is due to their captaincy transition that happened with Pat Cummins.

The Australian bowling all rounder had been a crucial addition to the Sunrisers team, and under his captaincy, the boys in Orange have been remarkable with the bat. It is this fair brand, Cricket that resulted in Sunrisers Hyderabad scoring record breaking scores like 287 and 277.

But the latest developments are suggesting that Sunrisers Hyderabad might be facing a crisis before the start of the IPL 2026 season due to the unavailability of Pat Cummins.

Apparently, Pat is still recovering from his injury and might not be available for the start of IPL 2026. This would essentially mean that Sunrisers Hyderabad will have to find a new captain for the team for the starting games in the season.

There are reports that either Ishan Kishan or Abhishek Sharma could be captaining the team in the absence of Cummins. But the final decision is yet to be taken, and we have to patiently wait for the same.

Whatever might be the reason, Hyderabad had been a completely different beast altogether under the captaincy of Pat Cummins. And it has to be seen how the team would cope in his absence in the starting of this coming season.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad is scheduled to play against RCB in the opening game of the season, which is promising to be a superb entertaining match.
