As we had reported earlier, the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise exhibited disappointment and discontentment with the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The primary allegation is that the HCA has been torturing them for additional tickets and even threatened to leave Hyderabad Stadium if this persists.

The chief minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy got furious with this matter, and he immediately ordered a probe into the same.

In this context, the latest developments are suggesting that the chairman of Hyderabad get Association, Jaganmohan Rao has been asked to appear in front of the vigilance investigation today. Apparently, Jaganmohan Rao will be taking part in the investigation that will be headed by the vigilance department.

Notably, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken serious note of allegations that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) intimidated and blackmailed the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management for complimentary IPL tickets.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has gathered detailed information on the matter and directed a vigilance inquiry to investigate the claims.

The controversy arose when SRH’s General Manager, Srinath TB, accused HCA officials, particularly President Jagan Mohan Rao, of coercive tactics to obtain additional free tickets.

In a letter addressed to HCA’s treasurer, Srinath detailed incidents where access to corporate boxes was allegedly restricted until extra passes were provided, describing these actions as “intimidation, coercion, and blackmailing”.

Now that the investigation has been commissioned, it has to be seen what kind of corrective measures that the Telangana government will be taking on this matter.
