Cricketer SKY Case: Actress Faces ₹100 Cr Defamation Case

With the upcoming T20 World Cup prospects looking good for the Indian team, captain Surya Kumar Yadav, aka SKY, is all over the news. But more than cricket, recently, a small time Bollywood actress Kushi Mukherjee claimed that a lot of cricketers are showing interest in her, and alleged that Surya Kumar Yadav keeps texting her regularly.

Though Kushi Mukherjee changed her stance later, confirming during an NDTV interview that Surya talks to her only like a friend. However, a social media personality named Faizan Ansari got hurt for Kushi’s controversial and baseless allegations on SKY, and lodged a case in Ghaziapur police station. He slapped the actress with a ₹100 crores defamation suit, failing which he demands that she be kept in prison for more than 7 years.

While Kushi maintained that her relationship with SKY is not romantically involved, Faizan Ansari accused that her comments on the cricketer not only insults one person, but also lots of fans who believe in the star cricketer and his abilities to steer Indian Cricket forward to big heights.

Ansari clarified that his case on the actress is to showcase that millions of people stand in solidarity with Surya Kumar Yadav at a time when he’s being attacked with baseless allegations.
