Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan came up with an unexpected twist by stepping down as the Governor.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan came up with an unexpected twist by stepping down as the Governor. She was serving as the Governor of Puducherry as well. Even before her tenure finished she submitted her resignation. Her sudden decision raised many eyeballs. Her decision started a debate on her possible political path.
Ever since Tamilisai resigned it has been reported that she might make a re-entry into politics. Days after the announcement Tamilsai returned to the BJP fold. In the presence of state chief Annamalai, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, and others. She was formally inducted into the saffron party.
Her formal joining in the party started the debate that she might contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu. Tamilisai is a known face in the state as she earlier served as the state chief.
It would not be a wonder if Tamilisai becomes the BJP candidate. Moreover, she tried her luck in the elections twice as the BJP leader. However, luck did not favour her, and lost in both instances. Despite this she is adamant about trying his luck again, reports say.
BJP has been trying hard to spread its wings in Tamil Nadu. The party wants MPs and not MLAs as the saffron party is eyeing the Lok Sabha elections to record the third consecutive win.
In 2019, Tamilsai tried her luck in the Tuticorin seat. But she could win in the DMK stronghold and lost to Kanimozhi. As it is being reported that Tamilisai might be the MP candidate, we have to wait and see if she will be fielded from the same seat or not.
If everything goes well we might see Tamilisai’s name in the candidates list. All eyes are on the list. Let us wait and see what happens. As BJP doesn't have strong candidates she might not face any competition.
