The Telugu states are closely anticipating the upcoming by election in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. The elections were warranted due to the sad passing of late BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath and the EC announced that the polls will be on November 11 and results will be out on November 14.

Coming to the topic now, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu met with Telangana TDP leaders last evening at his residence in Undavalli. A delegation of 15 TDP leaders from Telangana travel travelled to Amaravati to meet with the chief minister.

During the interaction, Chandrababu reportedly confirmed that TDP will not be contesting the Jubilee Hills constituency. However, this is not all.

Reportedly chief minister Chandrababu instructed TDP leadership to outrightly support the BJP candidate if needed. He made it clear that they are in the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh, and it is only natural for them to support BJP in Hyderabad.

Chandrababu categorically confirmed that TDP will not be supporting Congress or BRS in the Jubilee Hills election as it would be against the alliance principles. He suggested the Telangana TDP leadership to be very mature in handling the situation.

Considering the fact that TDP leadership soft supported Congress and Revanth Reddy during the 2023 Assembly elections, this distancing in Jubilee Hills election could take a toll on Congress.
