Veteran TDP Leaders Interested In This Big Post?

The grand old Telugu Desam Party has the image of backing seniors in the Cabinet. If we look at the Cabinet we can find seniors in big numbers. To bank on the seniority of the leaders they are given the posts. But we are seeing new Chandrababu Naidu and TDP.

Chandrababu Naidu opted for young blood in the Cabinet. Out of 24, 17 are first-time Cabinet ministers. Breaking the tradition of the party CBN picked juniors over seniors. Observers say that the TDP boss might have done this keeping long-term goals in mind.

Now it is said that two senior TDP leaders are said to be eyeing a big post. Media reports say the two leaders are showing interest in taking up the Governor’s post. This news is grabbing everyone’s attention.

Reports are abuzz that the BJP wants to give a chance to TDP in the Governor’s post and asked for a name. We heard similar news earlier too. However, TDP leaders could not get the post with the party leaving the NDA alliance.

Things are different now. BJP cannot ignore TDP as the former did not have enough strength. With this the Governor post was reportedly offered and two leaders are showing interest.

It is said that Ashok Gajapati Raju and Yanamala Ramakrishnudu are in the race for the Governor post and both leaders are showing interest. TDP might pick one from them soon.

Both are seniors and they have been with TDP for a very long time. We can say that it would be a tough decision for the TDP. On the other hand, observers say that Ashok Gajapati Raju might have an edge as he served as the Union Minister earlier and he is a known face to BJP too. Let us wait and see.
