It's been a few months since the T20 World Cup was hosted and India lifted the trophy. Despite this, we get to hear people try to create noise around the iconic catch of Surya Kumar Yadav in the finals. Now a spinner tried to talk about this. However, it backfired big time.

South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi made unexpected comments on SKY’s catch. He shared a viral video on social media and said that had the method that was used in the video been applied in the World Cup then the result would have been different.

Surya Kumar Yadav took a blinder at the boundary and this was a game-changing moment in the finals. Now Shamsi said that things would have been different had the same method been applied.

In the video he shared a batsman goes for a big shot. However, the fielder grabs it. They could not decide on whether it was a catch or not. To clear the doubts rulers and tapes were brought and the distance was measured.

"If they used this method to check the catch in the World Cup final maybe it would have been given not out,” Shamsi captioned the post.

However, this did not go well with many and they started hitting back at the player over the controversial post. With this, the spinner clarified the viral post saying that this is a joke and nothing more than that.
