Telangana state witness dangerous amounts of rainfall over the last few days, and the situation is particularly alarming in Kamareddy. The latest videos that are coming in from this region are looking very scary, and here is a look into the story, that is in development.
The rain began like any other late-night shower, tapping against windows and rooftops across Kamareddy. But by dawn, it was no longer just rain it was a proper downpour. Streets had turned into rivers, homes had become islands, and the familiar hum of National Highway 44, the lifeline of the district, had fallen silent under a sheet of water.
By mid-morning, official records painted a grim picture: 499 millimeters of rain in just 14 hours, an amount some regions don’t see in an entire season. The skies were relentless. Argonda village bore the brunt, recording 418 mm of rainfall within nine hours, and the district quickly slipped into chaos.
The all-time recorded rainfall that was registered in the region has resulted in extreme property damage as rainwater reached one-storey heights and people rushed for cover.
Red alert was issued for the entire region, and the government Authority had sent rescue units to the ground. But the massive volume of the rainwater that had already accumulated is delaying the process for the time being.
This happens to be one of the worst hit areas due to excessive Telangana rains and it has to be seen how the government authorities would be dealing with the situation now.
