Ahead of the much-awaited Lok Sabha elections, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan took a sensational decision by stepping down from her position. Tamilisai is also a Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. After announcing her resignation she said that there is no pressure on her. Her sudden decision started a debate on her political path.
The media reports say that Tamilisai Soundararajan might make a re-entry into politics and try her luck in elections yet again. For this, she took the decision is what many say.
As Tamilsai resigned from her position there was a big suspense on who would replace her. A few reports said that Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazeer might be given the charge of fellow Telugu state as well.
Putting an end to the suspense, Tamilisai's replacement was announced. C.P. Radhakrishnan who is already serving as the Governor was given the responsibilities of both states as well. In addition to Jharkhand, he will be the Governor of Telangana and Puducherry.
There are a few similarities between Tamilisai and C. P. Radhakrishnan. They both tried their luck in the elections and served as the state chief of Tamil Nadu in the past. However, Radhakrishnan served as the Lok Sabha member twice. Despite this, he lost three elections. He was made the Governor last year.
It is known that Tamilisai Soundararajan and KCR had a fallout earlier. The fight is dubbed as Raj Bhavan vs Pragati Bhavan. They openly targeted each other and Tamilisai even appeared in a TV debate in connection with the issue. Now we have to see how the equations will be from now on.
