The Padayatras have a rich legacy in Andhra Pradesh and the leaders saw a big response from the people. In the past many padayatras were held in the state. Opposition leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh also took the same route to meet the public. While Nara Lokesh's padayatra is underway, Chandrababu Naidu is doing padayatras now and then.

However, there is a criticism that their padayatras are not getting the required attention and buzz and despite this, the party is trying to project that the yatras are a huge hit among the people. Keeping the debate of whether the padayatras are getting the required response or not aside, there is a common point here.

Be it the yatra held by Chandrababu Naidu or Nara Lokesh there is a common point which is violence. Earlier we have seen how tension gripped the Punganur region with Chandrababu’s public event. The intensity of the violence is such that even the cops sustained injuries and their vehicles were also torched.

Usually, Police give protection from such violent incidents. But the same cops were attacked during the Punganur incident which is very concerning. This is not something that we see often.

While people are yet to forget the Punganur violence, the Godavari region which is known for its calm nature and beautiful locations saw tense situations.

Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam saw frightening scenes as a few people who are said to be part of the yatra created a ruckus and left everyone tensed. The videos that went coral on social media shed light on the intensity of the violence.

We can see people wearing Yuvagalam shirts throwing stones at the flexes of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. A person reached the top of a vehicle and threw big stones at the flexes.

The locals were shocked by the unexpected development and ran in fear. The cops reached the spot to bring the situation under control. They tried to pacify them so that the locals wouldn't feel the threat anymore. It is very concerning that the padayatras which are meant to meet the people are inculcating fear among the people with such incidents.
