Attacks on women are a big concern to the world. We are living in the 21st century and still, women cannot feel safe. No words can describe the vulnerability of women as they are almost not safe in every place. Compared to strangers women face attacks from men whom they know which is even more concerning.

Every time an issue gets highlighted people say that we need strict punishment for such heinous crimes so that people fear doing such attacks again. However, a lot of issues create obstacles in having such strict laws.

If we look at the world when it comes to having strict punishments for crimes there are a few nations where strict punishment would be implemented. Capital punishments are implemented for heinous crimes.

Countries like Saudi Arabia, China, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Quba, UAE, North Korea, and others implemented capital punishment.

In Saudi Arabia, the guilty would be executed for the crime. In China, Death punishment would be implemented and in Egypt, they would be hanged. In Afghanistan, they would be either hanged or shot in the head. The fear of punishment is so evident that solo female travelers can safely travel in Saudi Arabia and it is no wonder that it is a safe place.

Capital punishment is also followed in India. However, the punishment is given in the rarest cases. There are a few organizations which are fighting against the death penalty and there are a few Human Rights organizations too.

The demand to have strict punishments for r*pes and attacks in India gained a big momentum with the Delhi Nirbhaya case where a woman was gang r*ped and killed. People hit the roads protesting against this and the Nirbhaya Act was also brought. Despite this, the attacks did not stop and the cases increased.
