More Bad News For H-1B Workers? This Time From USA VP!

The President of the United States, Donald Trump had been very particular in his approach against the H1B work permit visa policy. He is back on the job again now as his administration has taken a very big step with regard to the work permit visa.

This time the communication has come from vice president of the United States, JD Vance. He has effectively communicated in principal that the work permit visa mechanism in the United States is going to be altered very soon.

Vice president Vance has communicated that companies should not be allowed to lay off American workers and then use H-1B visas to hire cheaper foreign replacements.

“The H-1B should not exist to replace American workers with low-wage foreigners,” he said, arguing the program should instead bring in highly skilled people who “enrich the American economy.

This would essentially mean that the United States administration is going to go, particularly hard against the companies that are prioritising H1B workers over the American population.

This is an addition to the existing mechanism that is being implemented by the United States administration where they are likely to remove the 60 day grace period for H1B workers. And now, if the administration further instruct the companies in United States to prioritise American workers over H1B population, the repercussions could be devastating.

With the President and the vice president themselves focussed on enhancing the American economy and population over the immigrant working population could be witnessing a significant very soon.
