The Donald Trump administration in the United States has been cracking down on the H1B visa policy, and they are showing no signs of backing down any time zone. On that note, we have something rather very interesting happening as a few companies have started to increase their H1B visa volume which is providing a ray of hope.
According to reports, big firms like Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, Apple, Meta (Facebook), Cisco Systems, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Visa, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and General Motors saw a rise in their H-1B approvals this year.
Amazon remains the top sponsor. Its H-1B approvals went up from 9,257 in 2024 to over 10,000 in 2025, an increase of 787. JPMorgan Chase added 721 more visas, while Microsoft added 464.
Apple and Meta also increased their numbers, adding 329 and 279 visas respectively. Other companies like Cisco, TCS, AWS, Visa, and General Motors also boosted their use of international talent.
Experts explain that not all of these visas are for new employees. Many are renewals or transfers for workers already in the U.S. Still, the rise shows how much these companies depend on global professionals for technology development, finance, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and even electric vehicle innovations.
Even with stricter immigration checks, these companies continue to sponsor more H-1B visas, proving that skilled foreign workers remain vital for their growth and competitiveness in the U.S. economy.
