Can We See A Twist In AP Deputy Speaker Appointment?

The alliance recorded a big win in the recent elections and came to power. The new government was also formed in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu assumed the CMO recently and his Ministers were allocated the portfolios. The state Home Minister also assumed office.

The first Assembly sessions after the change in government will be held in a couple of days. Ayyannapatrudu Chintakayala is picked as the Speaker and senior MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary would serve as the Pro-tem speaker.

While we have a clear picture of who will be the Speaker there is no clarity on the Deputy Speaker post. It looks like we might see a twist in the issue. Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Speaker post might be given to Janasena.

Janasena has been given big importance in the government. Pawan was made the sole Deputy and he was given crucial portfolios. In total Janasena was given three cabinet berths. So it was reported that the Deputy Speaker might also be given to Janasena.

A few names went rounds as possible candidates for the post. However, there is a political talk that hints at a possible twist. It is said that the BJP is also trying for the post and if everything goes well the saffron party might get the post.
