Two Communities Preferred In TDP’s Candidates List!

The Telugu Desam Party and Janasena announced the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections.

The Telugu Desam Party and Janasena announced the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections. Out of the 175 seats, 118 got clarity. Looking at the seat sharing TDP received a lion’s share while Janasena was given a small share.TDP got 94 seats. On the other hand, Janasena received just 24 seats.

Looking at the list of candidates, one thing is evident which says that two communities dominated the list. Combined the two communities account for the lion’s share of seats. While one community was given 21 seats, the other community was given 17 seats.

The Kamma community was allocated 21 seats while the Reddy community was given the second-highest number of seats. Looking at the social picture, the two communities are very strong politically. Leaders from the community became the Chief Ministers of the state.

This is the strong position the two communities hold. Considering this, the most number of seats were given to the communities. Chandrababu Naidu hails from the Kamma community and three tickets were given within the family.

Chandrababu Naidu will be contesting from his Kuppam seat. Nara Lokesh and Balakrishna are announced as candidates from Mangalagiri and Hindupur respectively. A few other candidates from the community were also given the tickets.

There is a rivalry between the Kamma and Reddy communities. Despite this, TDP cannot ignore the community and 17 candidates made it to the list.

Looking at the other communities SCs(20), BCs(19), Kapus and Turpu Kapus(9), Khathriya(4), STs(3) Vysyas(2), Velama(1) and Muslims(1) were given tickets.
