United States immigration Authorities have started to crack down on green card policies as things are starting to look increasingly tough for the Indian community. Let us have a look at the new regulations in the new policy and what is presented from page 14 to 21.

Pages 14 to 21 of the I-485 form ask about your past history to see if you are eligible for a green card. These are very serious questions. You must answer honestly, even if the case was dismissed or records were sealed. If you answer “Yes” to anything, you must explain in the “Additional Information” section.

The form first asks if you have ever been arrested, charged, fined, or detained in any country. It asks if you have committed crimes, used drugs, trafficked drugs, or received money from such activities. Questions also cover prostitution, trafficking people for labor, or claiming immunity to avoid punishment.

There are also security questions. You must say if you have ever been involved in espionage, sabotage, terrorism, hijacking, bombings, or supporting groups that use violence. It asks about training in weapons, serving in military groups, or recruiting children for armed conflict.

Next, the form asks about “public charge.” This means whether you might depend on U.S. government benefits. You will need to list your household size, income, assets, education, and whether you received benefits like SSI, TANF, or long-term care in the past.

Finally, there are questions on immigration violations. Examples include missing court hearings, using false documents, lying to immigration officials, smuggling people, illegal entries, deportation history, or trying to return after being removed.

In short, these pages check for criminal, security, financial, and immigration issues. Full honesty is required, or your application may be denied, which brings us back to the tough immigration policies that are being enforced currently.
