T20 World Cup: USA's Rare Feet, Qualifies For Super Eight!

No team is bigger or smaller in the game and anything can happen. The ongoing T20 World Cup is a big example of this. We have seen many upsets in the ongoing tournament. The USA defeated Pakistan and gave a big fight to India. Now the USA team added a historic feat to its name.

The USA reached the Super eight from the group stage. In its first World Cup outing the US team reached the Super Eight stage. Due to rain, a match was washed away which opened the doors for the USA team. With this USA became the seventh associate team to reach the stage directly.

Due to rain, the match between USA and Ireland was washed away. With this, each team was given one point. This one point made the difference and the USA got five points. So the team reached the Super Eight stage directly.

The USA is playing the World Cup for the first time and in the very first outing it reached the stage. Earlier Ireland(2009),Netherlands(2014), Afghanistan(2016), Namibia(2021),Scotland(2021),and Netherlands(2022) did it earlier. Now the USA did the same.

The USA has been sensational in the league. Its bowling attack is showing stars to the opponents. Now there is another thing that says the USA qualified for the T20 World Cup too. As it reached the Super Eight stage, the USA time was directly qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026 hosted by Sri Lanka and India.

For the 2026 edition, 12 teams have qualified directly including the USA. This can be seen as another feather in its cap. If the team can put in the same performance it can go to places.
