Senior YCP MLA Gives Clear Picture Of Welfare and Development!
However, a few say that development might not be getting the required importance with welfare getting all the attention
It is no secret that the ruling YSRCP is focusing more on welfare. Under the flagship Navaratnalu schemes, the Andhra Pradesh government has been implementing various schemes that cover various sections of society. The YSRCP often flaunts the welfare stand and takes big pride in it.
However, a few say that development might not be getting the required importance with welfare getting all the attention. A few legislators left the YCP recently and they expressed dissatisfaction with no help for the development in their constituencies.
Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad who has a history of making sensational comments had done it yet again. At a meeting, he made some crucial comments on the development of the state. He drew a comparison between development and welfare.
Talking about welfare, the senior MLA said that the government is focusing more on welfare and hence development is not able to compete with welfare. He also said that funds could not be allocated for the development as anticipated.
He went on to say that the bills are not being cleared and they are requesting the contractors to finish the work. They are asking me to help clear the bills, but I am unable to help them, he said.
Citing a big example, the MLA said that there is a person named Sita Reddy in Mylavaram. He worked hard for the pastry for ten years and for this, he was given roads and drainage work but the bills were not cleared. He brought the money in debt for the work. With no clarence of bills he has to sell his farm, he said.
The senior MLA's comments are doing rounds as he gave a clear picture of development and welfare in the state which shows welfare is getting good importance while development is unable to catch up in villages.
