Former YSRCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy has grabbed political attention by choosing a striking date and time to announce his new political party. He plans to launch the party in Vijayawada on November 11 at 11:11 AM, creating the much-discussed combination of 11-11-11.

The timing has sparked speculation about a possible indirect message to his former party, YSR Congress Party, which won just 11 Assembly seats in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections. Whether the repeated number is a deliberate political dig or simply an auspicious choice remains unclear.

Sai Reddy was once considered a key leader in YSRCP and was known for his close association with the YS family. His decision to launch a separate political outfit marks a significant shift in his political journey.

He has criticised the dominance of two political parties and two influential families in Andhra Pradesh, promising to offer voters an alternative. His proposed agenda includes employment opportunities for youth, better irrigation facilities for farmers, free electricity, affordable education and improved incomes for poor and middle-class families.

He has also spoken about moving away from caste-based politics, factional rivalries and political conflicts. Interestingly, his recent emphasis on Hindutva and religious themes has added another dimension to his political positioning.

With the November 11 launch approaching, Sai Reddy faces the challenge of converting public attention into political support. His new party will need a clear identity, a strong grassroots network and credible leadership to make a meaningful impact.

For now, the 11-11-11 timing has fuelled speculation about whether Sai Reddy is sending a message to YSRCP or simply choosing an auspicious moment for his political comeback.
