One of the principal candidates for the recent United States election and prime competitor for Donald Trump internally in the Republican party briefly, Vivek Ramaswamy has been facing severe backlash from Indian community for not responding on the recent murder of Telugu guy in US.

However, the Republican has finally reacted on this matter, and here is what he had to say about the same.

“It’s unconscionable. The murderer’s violent criminal history was so bad that Cuba refused to accept him, yet he remained in the U.S. despite a final court order of removal. The fact this isn’t a bigger story shows how numb we’ve become to preventable violence. This has to end.”

Adding further on this matter, Vivek RamaSwamy said The most frequent question I hear now is what I’ll do to restore law & order in Ohio. It’s pretty simple: the vast majority of violent crimes are committed by a very small number of people. Most are repeat offenders.

We need to get them off the streets, using prisons & psychiatric institutions as needed. I met with law enforcement officers yesterday, who affirmed this yet again. Most city mayors are Democrats who agree with me privately, but are afraid to say so publicly. Once I’m Governor, we’ll work with our cities & get it done.

He has no publicly stated that he would be changing things up once he becomes the governor of Ohio as he appears to be batting for the Indian community voters here. It has to be seen if this strategy would be successful in the near future.
