The American government is preparing for the transition of power from Joe Biden to the new president, Donald J Trump. Trump has already sworn in as the 47th president of United States and he has already started to bring in his own set of reforms to the administrative wings.

In this context, something very interesting has happened with Vivek Ramaswamy who was an integral part of the Trump campaign. He has opted out of the newly announced department of government efficiency(DOGE) that was supposed to be headed by Vivek himself and Elon Musk.

Trump-Vance Transition Spokesperson Anna Kelly

said Vivek Ramaswamy played a critical role in helping us create DOGE. He intends to run for elected office soon, which requires him to remain outside of DOGE based on the structure that we announced today. We thank him immensely for his contributions over the last 2 months and expect him to play a vital role in making America great again.

On this matter, Vivek stated “It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE. I’m confident that Elon & team will succeed in streamlining government. I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio. Most importantly, we’re all-in to help President Trump make America great again!”.

It is reported that Vivek had a fallout with certain staff associated with the department, and that eventually led to his exodus from the project. Meanwhile, there are reports that Vivek could be running for the position of the governor of Ohio, and that could be another reason why he has opted out of this reformative project taken up by the government of United States.
