WhatsApp has introduced three new features to make group chats more organised and easier to use. These updates are designed to help people make decisions faster, avoid confusion, and manage large groups better.

One of the biggest improvements is to WhatsApp Polls. Users can now set a closing time for a poll. Once the selected time is over, no one can vote anymore. This is useful when a group needs to make a decision before a deadline, such as choosing a meeting time or planning an event.

Another useful change is private voting. Group members can now hide the names of people who voted. This means others will only see the poll results, not who selected each option. It allows users to vote freely without feeling pressured by other members.

WhatsApp has also added the option to edit poll questions. If someone makes a spelling mistake or wants to make the question clearer, they can edit it within 15 minutes after creating the poll. This saves time because users do not need to create a new poll.

The company has also improved the @all mention feature. In very large groups with more than 32 members, only group admins will be able to use @all. This helps reduce unnecessary notifications and prevents people from tagging everyone too often.

Users can also choose how they receive @all notifications. If they do not want to be disturbed, they can mute these alerts through the notification settings.

Another important update is the ability to create a new group from an existing group. Instead of adding members one by one, users can quickly create a smaller group with selected people from the current chat. This is helpful when only a few members need to discuss a specific topic without interrupting the main conversation.

For example, people organising a birthday party, office event, or family function can create a separate group in just a few taps.

These new features are expected to make WhatsApp group chats simpler, cleaner, and more efficient. They also build on earlier updates such as event reminders, member tags, and improved group message history. With these latest additions, WhatsApp continues to improve the way millions of people communicate every day.
