India is on a roll in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament. Men In Blue played four matches and won three matches. The first match with arch-rivals Pakistan was washed out with rain. India’s winning streak in the Asia Cup started with crushing Nepal by 10 wickets. A couple of days back, India crushed Pakistan and yesterday India defeated Sri Lanka.

As the table toppers, India fixed its spot and this is the 10th time India entered the finals. India won the trophy the highest number of times with seven titles. Fans are hoping that India will take the count to eight times.

India not only registered a third consecutive win in the tournament but also ended the unbeaten jynx of Sri Lanka which won as many as 13 ODIs in a row. In the edge-of-the-seat corner, India crushed Sri Lanka by 41 runs.

Team India looked very strong with 80 for the loss of none. But Sri Lanka bowlers bounced back and restricted India to just 213 in 49.1 overs. This is the first time, spinners took all the ten wickets in an innings. Dunith Wellalage broke the back of the Indian team with an impressive fifer. He came in handy even with his bat.

Spinners are the winners in the team. While spinners took 10 wickets in the Sri Lanka team, India’s Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets and took his team to a super victory. Kuldeep became the second fastest to reach the 150-wicket milestone in ODIs among Indian bowlers. Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets and became the highest wicket-taking Indian bowler in the Asia Cup.

On the other hand, who will take on India in the finals will be fixed tomorrow. Defending champions Sri Lanka will lock horns with Pakistan and the winning team will enter the finals. Asia Cup finals are slated for commencement on Sunday.

Sri Lanka has a strong spin bowling line up and it will not be easy for Pakistan to face them. We have seen what the bowlers can do in yesterday’s match. As rain is playing a spoiling role, there is a rain threat here. If the game gets washed away, Sri Lanka will enter the finals due to a better run rate.
