Chief Minister and BRS supremo KCR reportedly made some key changes to his poll strategy. He is said to have decided that speaking about the welfare schemes is not going to pay. In fact, it could prove counter-productive. Hence, he has reportedly decided to attack the Congress Party, which is fast emerging as an effective counterfoil to the ruling party.

The party top brass has reportedly analysed the response to the seven public meetings that KCR had addressed from October 15 till 18. The response has been lukewarm and CM’s talk about various schemes have actually evoked a negative response. Surveys have shown that the people in general complained about the failure of schemes like Aasara, rythu bandhu, dalit bandhu and two-bedroom houses.

So, KCR has decided to take the Congress head-on. BRS sources say that the coming days would see stronger frontal attacks on the Congress Party. The CM will attack its past record, its failures in Karnataka and its inability to fulfil the election promises in that state. He will also highlight the intense groupism in the party.

KCR is now planning to undertake another round of public meetings in the state. On October 26, he would address public meetings in Achampet, Wanaparthy and Munugode. On October 27, he would tour Paler, Vardhannapet and Mahabubabad. On October 29, he would address public meetings in Kodad, Thungathurthi and Alair.
