Singapore To Hang A Woman After Two Long Decades!

After a long time, a woman is going to be hanged in Singapore.

Drug trafficking is a big issue we are facing as a world. Many countries see this as a big crime and slap the guilty with heavy punishments. Some countries impose capital punishment on the guilty. Despite the strong laws and punishments, trafficking is not coming down.

Singapore is one such nation where drug trafficking is seen as a big crime. A gang was busted and two people were found guilty and slapped with death punishment by hanging. After a long time, a woman is going to be hanged in Singapore.

As per the information, a man and a woman were convicted in drug trafficking and they were slapped with hanging. Saridewi Djamani is one of the two convicts. She was convicted in a case that goes back to 2018.

It is said that after a long time of two decades, a woman is going to be hanged. The last time a woman was executed in Singapore was in 2004. A hairdresser identified as Yen May Woen who was 36 was executed.

Talking about Saridewi Djamani she was found guilty of trafficking 30 grams of heroin. Rights organisation Transformative Justice Collective (TJC) said that the families of the guilty were informed about the capital punishment.

Singapore deals with the drug menace with an iron fist and slaps big punishment. If found guilty they will be executed. The capital punishments slowed down due to Covid impact. With the situations coming to normal the capital punishments are resumed. A dozen people were executed already.

Criminals attract capital punishment in Singapore for some crimes like drug trafficking, kidnap and others. People involved in the crimes will not be spared.
