Indians are good at financial planning compared to others. Planning and making savings runs in over blood. No matter where we are savings and passing on the assets continue. Elders in the family also decide who gets what in property in a joint family.

Will is a procedure usually the heads of the family follow. In the legal document he or she decides who gets what in the property. Usually, elderly people who are facing illness would opt for this as they might have fears about what would happen to them in the future.

However, the trend has changed now and younger people are also writing a will. A firm based out in Mumbai said that younger people are also showing interest in writing a will.

As per the findings of Mumbai-based will services firm WillJini, out of every ten requests it is getting four came from people who are between the 30-40 age group. The company said this after mentioning the data of the past six months.

Looking at the reasons for the change in the trend, uncertainty over life is the main reason as per the firm. It is known that people are suddenly losing their lives irrespective of their age.

People irrespective of the age group are developing heart attacks and there is no assurance that younger people would be safe from this. Even teenagers are developing this condition which is strange.

On the other hand, Covid is a wake-up call to everyone that we can face such a tough pandemic any time. Many people lost their lives to the pandemic while several others are still suffering from afer Covid effects.

Due to these reasons, people from the younger generation are also showing interest in writing a will. After COVID-19, we saw many changes, and changes in the trend of writing will join the list as per the developments.
