YCP MLA's Shocking Comments On Tirupati Leopard Attack!

Update: 2023-08-12 08:42 GMT

Alipiri Walkway is one of the ways to reach the holy shrine of Tirumala. Due to its proximity to the forest area, devotees are often attacked by wild animals. We have heard of such incidents a few times. When the lockdown was imposed due to Covid fear, the wild animals freely roamed on the roads.

The question of the safety of devotees on the Alipiri walkway was raised again with a recent incident. A six-year-old girl was attacked and dragged by a leopard. The incident not only created a sensation but also raised many eyeballs.

Amid this, Kovur MLA Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy reacted to the issue and made some objectionable comments. After listening to what the ruling party MLA said, many wondered how a person in such a position can pass such comments.

Speaking to the media, the MLA raised a few doubts about the parents of the victims and said that they should be examined thoroughly to get more information. Saying that the kid went missing first, the MLA also said that they would think about helping the family.

On one hand, the family is grieving the death of their daughter and the MLA raised a few doubts about the parents of the victim, who was killed by a wild animal.

It has to be mentioned here that the concerned DFO also raised a similar doubt. He said that the kid might have not been with the family in the rush and later the attack happened.

Talking about the tragic incident, it happened on Friday night when a family was on its way to the holy shrine on the Alipiri walkway. All of Sudden, a leopard reached the spot and attacked a girl named Lakshita.

Seeing the wild animal, her family members and other pedestrians screamed in fear. The TTD Forest Department and other officials were informed about the same and they swung into action.

The rescue operations resulted in identifying the dead body of the kid. Her family is grieving her death and the body was sent to the postmortem. Further details on the heart-wrenching incident are awaited.
