The YS Vivekananda Reddy case has been a sensation in state politics for the past few years. Though the case is a few years old the sensation around it is still intact. The much-talked-about case saw a big development as an accused was granted bail. Hearing a petition the High Court gave the orders.
Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy is one of the accused in the case who was earlier arrested by the investigative agency. In what could be a big relief to him the High Court of Telangana gave him bail.
The Telangana High Court which reserved its verdict on this had granted him the bail. However, a few conditions were imposed on him while granting the bail. He was directed to report to the Pulivendula Police Station every week without fail.
In the last hearing, the CBI reportedly requested the Court to not grant him bail saying that he might influence the witnesses in the case. YS Viveka’s daughter Sunitha also pleaded the same to the court.
After reserving its verdict the Telangana High Court granted a bail to the accused. Uday Kumar Reddy who is said to be a close aide of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy was arrested by the CBI earlier last week in connection with the case.
Since his arrest he has been trying hard to get bail and multiple times his petitions were canceled. At last, he faced a big relief as the Telangana High Court granted bail with a few conditions.
On the other hand, the bail petition of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy is still pending with the Supreme Court.
