Did YV Subba Reddy Pacify Gajuwaka MLA's Son?
As if that was not enough reports started doing rounds that Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy's son Devan Reddy resigned from his position of in-charge
Andhra Pradesh's political arena went through some quick developments recently. An unexpected development came from Alla Ramakrishna Reddy who resigned as MLA. The ruling YSRCP reshuffled the party in-charges in 11 constituencies. Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that nothing is permanent in YCP and the decisions were made aiming at the next elections.
As if that was not enough reports started doing rounds that Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy's son Devan Reddy resigned from his position of in-charge. The news grabbed everyone's attention as he is the ruling party MLA and a sitting MLA.
Now the issue has taken a big turn with the MLA and his son meeting YSRCP regional coordinator YV Subba Reddy. After the meeting, the father-son duo refuted the rumours of leaving the party.
Rubbishing the rumors, Devan Reddy asked why he would leave the party when his father is the sitting MLA in the constituency. He also urged everyone to not believe such rumours.
Political observers say that YV Subba Reddy might have pacified the MLA and his son and made them reverse the decision. His efforts made the issue take a happy turn.
One MLA resigned from his post and the party cannot take the risk of allowing the MLA's son to step down from the in-charge position. With this, YV Subba Reddy would have spoken to the duo and made them reverse the decision.
Gajuwaka is a crucial seat as is it one of the two seats Pawan Kalyan contested. Tippala Nagi Reddy managed to defeat Pawan Kalyan in the high-stakes political fight. YCP cannot afford to find another strong leader and that's why YV Subba Reddy might have stepped in.
