It is already known that the United States of America has been cracking down against several fraud operations in India.
It is already known that the United States of America has been cracking down against several fraud operations in India. Recently, The Boston Federal Authority shut down a fake call centre in India, saying that they have been loading the United States citizens of their money.
Now the United States FBI has made allegations about an Indian police officer, saying that he had been demanding money from United States family. The allegations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) against this senior Punjab Police officer in an alleged US$400,000 extortion case are extremely serious.
According to the allegations, a family residing in the United States was threatened and pressured to pay money, with the warning that a false murder case would be registered against their relatives in India if they refused.
This is the same SHO who had registered a case regarding the alleged disrespect of the Aam Aadmi Party’s election symbol. Another important question is how deeply such police officers may be involved in the alleged extortion operations taking place within Punjab. This is the question that is being raised by the opposition parties in Punjab as they are looking to make a meal out of this issue now.
The point to be noted here is that the Indian authorities or the police department did not speak on this allegation from the FBI, till now, which is a very interesting case.
