Indians and Indian-origin people are vulnerable to attacks in the United States as we see incidents of attacks regularly. The trend is very concerning as the incidents are reported at regular intervals. As if that is not enough there is another issue that the community should be cautious of.

A new study has found that Indian Americans are more prone To heart attacks compared to people from other ethnicities. A few factors are playing a key role behind the community being close to the danger.

The study which was conducted by Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health found that Indian-Americans are prone to heart attacks compared to other ethnicities like Hispanics, African-Americans, and others.

The data of the Strong Heart Study was used for the study and a scale to predict heart failure risk was also developed. With this, it was found that Indian-Americans are vulnerable to heart attacks.

Looking at the reasons for the high risk of heart attacks, high blood sugar, smoking, kidney problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure are the reasons. These factors trigger more chances of heart attacks.

Moreover, those who had heart attacks in the past are also in danger, the report said. This is a very big concern as they are vulnerable to other conditions like mental issues, liver disease, hepatitis, and other conditions.

The report said that having an unhealthy lifestyle and following unhealthy food habits are the main reasons behind this. If they want to stay safe from vulnerability then they should follow a healthy lifestyle like having good food and doing the required exercise. Having mental and physical health is the need of the hour is what the report says.
