Now, a tragic road accident near Chicago, USA, claimed the lives of a mother and daughter from Telangana’s Mancherial district. The victims were identified as Rama Devi, aged around 52, and her daughter Tejaswi, aged 32.
The family had travelled to America to attend Tejaswi’s housewarming ceremony. After the event, they were heading to another relative’s home when their car was hit by a trailer on the highway.
Rama Devi died on the spot, while Tejaswi passed away while being taken to the hospital. Tejaswi’s husband, children, and her father Vignesh were also in the car and suffered serious injuries. Vignesh, a retired employee of the Singareni Collieries, had travelled with his wife to visit their daughters living in the United States.
The family had gathered to celebrate their granddaughter’s birthday just a few days before the accident. The news has left their relatives and friends in deep shock.
Efforts are being made to bring the bodies back to India for the final rites. The incident has brought immense sorrow to the people of Reddy Colony in Mancherial, where the family is well known and respected.
